Hi! I am a multimedia artist living in Arcata & going to school at Cal Poly Humboldt. I make chainmail jewelry pieces with jump rings & pliers. I love the simplicity of this medium, & the infinite amount of different patterns you can come up with using just rings! I also crochet & do block printing on clothing — my artistic background is in drawing/painting, but I have recently been inclined toward more wearable media. I draw inspiration from tattoo designs, doodles, & more. I love just shoving rings together intuitively & seeing what happens, then taking those random designs & turning them into symmetrical pieces. This involves a lot of trial & error, which is part of why I work with stainless steel, as it is an extremely durable metal.
