Same Reason Ceramics is maximum fun mugs, busy bowls, bright butter bells, drippy daisies, alien invasions, and sea monsters at your tropical vacation. Same Reason is about connecting to you through colorful images on functional ceramic objects. Same Reason wants to brighten your day, one goofy drawing and bright color at a time.

From the mind and hands of Rachel K Bury, each ceramic piece is worked on from wet clay to the finished product you enjoy in your home. Working out of Fire Arts Center in Arcata, CA all works are wheel thrown and fired twice to Cone 10. Once thrown and leather hard most pieces get brought back to Rachel's home to be designed and hand carved. Then brought back to Fire Arts to be bisque fired to be only transported back to the home studio to be hand painted with a spectrum of Underglaze colors. Finally the pieces go back to Fire Arts for a final clear glaze and fired to Cone 10. What a journey!

The name for this lil' biz is not only about all the different types of art I make and why I make it all for the Same Reason (to connect to people who like art and stuff I like too). It is also a reference to one of my favorite books, please enjoy the quote below:
